This is your class gallery. Please send your work as a jpg to me at crafts@artmuseums.com and I will post it to the website. This is optional. If you don't have a camera or fax to make a jpg you can tell us about your project on the discussion board.

Self Image Collage
For my collage I decided to combine some of my various interests and skills.
I have a background in graphic design so I used photoshop to make my collage. I
love all the layers and overlapping you can create in photoshop, much like my
own life. Since I'm taking this class, I used colors and shapes inspired by the
Mondrian link posted this week. I love teaching elementary art, so I included
some of my students' art work inspired by Mondrian. I also included pictures of
my family in Vermont, the biggest and most important part of my life.

(Art for the Classroom Teacher Workshop)
This week we have examples of paper bag puppets. You can see how popular the frog motif is to the classroom. How could you use these puppets to enhance reading or with another cross curriculum theme?

For this class I am trying to make projects that I can use with my students. These projects need to be cheap, (my yearly budget is less than 1$ per student) and simple enough for all my students to complete. Because I am not a classically trained art teacher, my lessons all seem to be interdisciplinary. I thought that “paper bag fairy tales” would be something that the students would enjoy. I chose a frog simply because I like frogs.
