Welcome to the 4 week Art for the Elementary Teacher  online classroom.  The first thing you need to do is to become acquainted with how this online class will work.  Each week a new unit will be opened.  After the unit is opened it will stay activated throughout the 4 week session.  The class will stay active for 2 weeks after the class closes.  You can access the class 24 hours a day online by visiting this website.

Take a look at the top of the page and you will see icons.  Each icon has an active link. Click on it to visit that part of the online classroom. 

Class Art Gallery

The class gallery is a place where you can view the art created by fellow classmates.  You are not required to photograph the work you create but if you send a jpg of your artwork electronically I will post it.

Field Trips

There are a number of virtual field trips around the internet.  You can visit these and share them with your classes.

Lecture Notes

Along with the resources presented there are lectures that will enhance materials.  You will also receive additional resources in the lectures.  Visit them each week.  Although the materials you see on the website are copyrighted you may print the information for your own use.

Discussion Groups

Each week you will be asked to complete the discussions and interact with others in the workshop.  This is a good place to network and gain valuable information.  It's also where attendance is taken.  This is a non-credit class but if you post to the discussion all 4 weeks you will receive a handsome "Thank you for Participating" certificate.
